HempGrown Hemp Mats
Florida MicroGreens hemp is an all natural, environmentally sustainable and chemical free fiber. It is sourced from the U.K. and Canada and is grown using only natural methods (no nutrients, no pesticides). It is mechanically woven together without other additives and brought to FLMG wrapped in plastic in large bulk rolls of 246’ long x 3’ wide. This is the same fiber we use to grow our microgreens and is best suited for growing plants from 0-15 days old. Since it is a natural fiber, it breaks down after about 15 days in a hydroponic or wet environment.
Woven hemp fiber mats for growing MicroGreens in a hydroponic system. These hemp mats are designed to transport water evenly throughout the entire medium while maintaining a perfect ratio of water and air for the development of healthy root systems. Consistent growing conditions allow for consistent production of young plants making these mats ideal for growing microgreens. Just moisten and let excess water drain. Sprinkle seeds to the desired density, then mist.

Notes
Hemp can be cut to any size needed. For example, for our UnCut 100” x 36” roll can be cut it into 5 equal strips measuring 19.5” x 36”. Then each strip is cut into 4 equal pieces measuring 9” x 19.5”. This process yields 20 pieces to fit the 10×20 tray with a small margin around the edges for watering.
We recommend using the WORX WX081L ZipSnip Cutting Tool to cut the hemp.
Using a straight edge and clamps ensures that your cuts are straight.
*This is a loose weave so there is stretch involved when unrolling, cutting, etc. Meaning all numbers above are approximate.
