Florida Microgreens applied for a Fedex small business grant, which if awarded, would allow us to reach toward several goals: First, we could reach more customers with the purchase of a larger delivery vehicle making our delivery process more streamlined and economical. Secondly, we plan to open up to retail sales so our community of friends and neighbors can enjoy the same fresh, living, and chemical free microgreens that we currently deliver to chefs and restaurants in Southwest Florida. Finally, and most importantly, we can develop our educational and outreach programs for the schools and community. This is vital toward our long-terms success since our business purpose was created to help people feel safe again about the food they eat, to supply our community with nutrient dense greens, and to teach people how they can grow they own even in an urban setting if they choose. Overall, we want to get people and our children back to the table again where we can learn some of lifes’ most important lessons.
